The 2024 NFC Championship broadcast on Fox took an unexpected turn as Terry Bradshaw, a longstanding figure on Fox NFL Sunday, was notably absent due to illness. The veteran host, who would typically lead the post-game celebration, couldn't make it to the pregame show as he was feeling under the weather, as reported by NY Post’s Andrew Marchand.
Curt Menefee, addressing the absence at the beginning of the NFL on Fox Pregame show, mentioned, “Usually right here for all 30 years, Terry Bradshaw. But TB is a little under the weather right now. He’s going to have the evening off.”
The 75-year-old Bradshaw, who shared his battle with cancer in 2022 but was reported cancer-free at that time, has previously taken time off TV due to knee surgery. It remains uncertain whether his current illness is connected to any of these previous health challenges.
Known for hosting post-game festivities and trophy presentations for major games, Bradshaw's absence may lead to Menefee taking the reins for this year’s NFC Championship trophy presentation to the San Francisco 49ers or Detroit Lions. This adjustment might be considered a prudent move, especially given Bradshaw's tendency to make inappropriate comments and step out of line during live broadcasts.
